The Gold-Plated Imitation should cut a deal and resign before it’s too late!

Nunez and Jordan? This is the best brain power the GOPs can muster? Nunez with his absurd conspiracy theories. And Jordan with his rapid fire/word salad delivery of ridiculous and irrelevant third- and fourth-hand hearsay distractions. And for his “coup de Gras’ does Jimmy really think that people cannot understand why Ukraine President Zelinsky pretended for 55 days and publicly stated that “he did not feel that he was unduly pressured by the Whitehouse”. Jordan must think that President Zelinsky’s concern that he might offend the delicate sensibilities of the Egotist in Chief could jeopardize $400 million and desperately needed Javelin Missiles to defend his country from Russia is not reason enough to diplomatically say what the Narcissist in Chief wants to hear. Hell, if anyone should understand ass kissing, Jim and Devin should. And if anyone thinks that the failure to complete an attempted crime is a defense, I have about a million prisoners throughout the country who may beg to differ.
Even though the needle has not yet moved much, it is only day one. As time goes on, matters are not going to improve for the GOPS. New revelations such as the reckless cell phone call from Europe to Trump by his handpicked Ambassador Sondland, overheard by Taylor’s staff…and no doubt the entire Kremlin, are going to continue to emerge… and none of these emerging stories are going to be flattering Donald Trump.
So, how difficult is it for these ignorantly, venal GOP, foolish defenders against Impeachment to open their eyes and do the right thing. Their ridiculous defenses are just a waste of time and resources. It is time to admit that this man is a MISTAKE…and this mistake must be corrected. This is not complicated.
Sooner or later the Dems will successfully paint the picture that will clearly capture public attention and explain clearly to an interested voting public (estimated at 13 million viewers) the extent of Trump’s truly life and death violations…and when they succeed, it will be too late for the Republicans to get religion. What will Rush Limbaugh and 90% of the Fox News commentators do for a living when the game is up.
Donald’s ways are and always have been Gold Plated Sleaze. which is to say: He is a Gold-Plated Imitation of a successful businessman. He got elected on the now dis-proven theory that his business experience would be a good basis to be a good President. It is not a good basis. And he is not a good businessman. Never was. A review of his business history is replete with business failure after business disaster after bankruptcy after mistake… ad infinitum. When he inherited $500 million (as Trump did at age 21) he became fortified with quite a war chest from which any and all business mistakes could be and were covered up by either buying off or bullying detractors. Donald’s business history is just a secret warehouse filled with one business disaster after another all cleverly disguised and covered with the gold plating image making.
But being president and making mistakes in the geo-political arena is not the same as a business failure, a one-off type of mistake…from which you can walk away and the worst that happens is a lot of people lose a lot of money. Geo-political mistakes such as Syria and Ukraine cause the losses of huge numbers of lives, restructuring of countries, freedom versus fascism…human suffering on large scales. Bravado and posturing do not go very far. People are dying, and Republicans are posturing. Defending a man who has proven he is undefendable. Enough!
Donald’s shortcomings and the numerous resulting “life and death” results therefrom are all too well known for the Republicans to (just like Donald) put their own narrow personal interests ahead of our country. The lesson that voters will derive from these proceedings if the Dems present the picture simply and clearly is that Donald is simply not equipped to do things properly in the best interest of our country. He has to go before it is too late.
If the Republicans are interested in reclaiming there former good name by recognizing this situation…and persuading Donald that for his and his family…and our nation, it is in everyone’s interest that he AND Pence…should both cut a deal for blanket immunity and count their blessings. And America can get back to having real elections, maybe Republicans Mitt Romney, Bill Weld or Mark Sanford versus Democrat Choices # 1 through 12. We will also count our blessings.
