Muzzle President Trump. Un-muzzle Dr. Fauci

Wow. Our worst nightmare has finally happened, a possible world pandemic, The Coronavirus. And surprise of surprise…our Executive Branch is Just a Tad Un-prepared…and while our giant jerk off President tries his usual phony happy talk lies, the world’s markets are in free fall to the tune of about 6 trillion…and still counting. Toto, we are definitely not in Kansas anymore…and if numb nuts thinks his standard bag of tricks are going to help correct the very real Extreme events on the GLOBAL ground, he is more lost than he appears…which is a lot. Stadium type events are being cancelled everywhere, supply chains are being curtailed…the list goes on…and the only growth industries will soon be dis-infectant manufacturers or tele-commuting technologies, etc. etc.…and the snowballs are only starting to gather size.

Intellectually our dear President Trump is in way over his head because he just doesn’t understand the scientific data. Emotionally he’s coming apart at the seams because all of his standard lies and hustles that he regularly is able to use to get away with stuff, do not work in the face of a virus of epidemic proportions… where the facts cannot be distorted …AND the public does not want to hear B. S..

The public could care less about his slavish devotion to stock prices, which he devoutly believes are his measuring stick for the path to his re-election… hence his constant bragging about high stock prices or his blaming for low ones…when the only thing that people want to hear right now is reliable and honest medical information with which to protect their families from getting sick. “Let’s see what happens” is not going to cut it.

Considering the fact that spread of the virus is not within his control, compounded by his late response to the initial news reports, exacerbated by his drastically misguided policy of reducing the “deep state” (which is to say over one half of the necessary “back up” medical personnel to staff critical government funded health care agencies), it is safe to say that his leadership with respect to protecting the public from this health menace has made us and the world less safe. And as the spread of the virus surely gets worse, if he continues to try to pretend that everything is rosy, he will undermine any small amount of public trust that he still retains…and if the business community detects that they are not getting truthful data, these recent 1% dips in stock prices will be minor drips compared to the tidal wave to come. The simplest policy for our President to follow would be honesty…starting with removing himself and Pence from obstructing the free flow of medical and scientific data from the experts. Allow the medical experts to take over and he can best lead by simply being calm and disciplined… but at 72 years old, it’s unlikely that that’s going to happen any time soon.

Instead, he wants to “protect” the public by having Vice President, Mike Pence, control the release of information regarding protective procedures and the status of the spread of the Coronavirus…so as not to create un-necessary public panic. He thinks that it is a good idea for Pence to monitor or muzzle the words of Dr. Anthony Fauci, perhaps the world’s leading medical expert regarding immunodeficiencies and Infectious Diseases. Says Trump, “He’s (Pence) got a certain talent for this.” OMG!

Having Mike Pence evaluate any of the relevant scientific data is like having a 40-year-old virgin teach a junior high school class on sex. This is the same Pence, who 5 years ago as Governor of Indiana messed up the state’s worst outbreak of HIV in its history… by ignoring his health officials’ advocacy for a clean-needle exchange program, which would have slowed the spread of infection. Pence moronically, but staunchly opposed the program on grounds it could encourage or support drug abuse…and people died un-necessarily. Pence, (you will be re-assured to know), Pence is proud to cite his Scientific Credentials for these types of responsibilities as his strong relationship with Jesus Christ. Fortunately, at least for now, it appears that Dr. Fauci is able to speak freely about the reality and the prospects of this world wide health problem.

So currently, who we have in charge of a potential Global pandemic are a woefully and willfully ignorant President and a morally myopic, assistant, censor of the truth. Let’s hope that we get some leadership help soon…because as the experts predict, matters ARE going to worsen before they get better. And let’s hope that the forthcoming help is not another idiot, which will then make official that we have the “Three Stooges” running the show.

And let’s further hope that the DNC and their current crop of candidates can set egos aside…and come together (the six current candidates) to choose a ticket that will win in the 2020 general election. I am suggesting that they forge some type of a national unified ticket, which is an idea the likes of which I am not exactly sure how to form…but which seems like an idea whose time has come. There is talent galore to choose for an entire cabinet from just the current and former candidates only. I have my own preference for who they should choose for the Presidential nominee, but I will not bore you (dear readers) with my choice…except to say that the Vice Presidential nominee definitely should be Amy Klobuchar. And as long as I am in this “recommending mood”, allow me to submit an offer for a new (hopefully temporary) DNC chant for Democratic rallies: “Muzzle Trump. Un-muzzle Dr. Fauci”

Here is one more hint. The world can now see the true limitations of Donald Trump and his extreme and unconventional ways. The world could use a little relief from any more “unconventional”. So DNC, please listen to people of color and other minorities who have a clearer vision of the type and extent of progressive measures required to level the playing field for them. Then, act accordingly. You have ample moderate progressiveness contained on your “unity ticket”. Go for it, and watch as the supporters (former voters) for Trump and his complicit GOP senators switch from Red to Blue.

You don’t need to swing for the fences. The world cannot afford a strike out.
