Don’t Cry For Donny, America. He Kept No Promises; He Just Kept Secrets

Too little, too late.

And frankly, I do not wish him a speedy recovery.

Am I supposed to feel sorry for him because he was captured by the Covid? “I like people who weren’t captured”.

He needs to taste some real suffering. Perhaps he will learn a little humility, a little respect. It will do him a world of good. It will do the world a lot of good.

He needs to experience some lingering effects of discomfort, pain, and disability in any number of areas of his body so he can wish for what he once had. Perhaps he will come to appreciate and understand why he should not mock other people’s suffering. Perhaps he will come to learn not to ignore sound medical and scientific advice in favor of exploiting a pandemic for selfish reasons. Perhaps he will come to recognize that a true leader does not minimize the dangers of a Pandemic (so as not to “Panic” the stock market) so that many people would be lulled into following his irresponsible behavior leading to similar infection and possible worsening results; all of which might otherwise have been avoided.

No, I have no “speedy recovery” wishes for him. A quick and painless recovery will only encourage him and his followers to crow with renewed cockiness that even an “overweight 74-year-old” can beat this “case of the sniffles”. Donald will be the first and the loudest to boast that the Covid-19 is a piece of cake, a walk in the park, a left-wing hoax.

Mr. “Tough Guy”, Mr. “Master of Spin”, Mr. “Only I Can Fix Things”, Mr. “Know It All”, has finally met his match. It is a tiny virus with a simple message.

“Arrogance and Ignorance is not a recipe for leadership. You are out of control, and “You’re fired.
